Welcome to the Adamawa , the crossroad region

NGAOUNDÉRÉ MOUNT

Most of Cameroon’s streams and rivers take their source from the Adamawa Plateau. The sudanian savannah made up of wooded grass fields, thin and dry forest begins on the foothills of the Adamawa Mountain. Many tourist sites surround the region.

Visitors can see herds of cows and flocks of sheep. Adamawa is a crossroad region, a transit zone amongst east, centre and north regions. The great railway line known as “transcamerounais”ends at Ngaoundere.

The railway contributes to the promotion of tourism and trade in the north of the country. It is always exciting to spend the night in the train going all over beautiful landscape; at least 900 kilometres real panoramic and exotic travel
